1) Written Paper
  Written Examination will take place on 29th August 2009, venue will be confirmed in the examination card.
  Applicants should wear their respective school uniforms on the examination day.  Please bring along examination card, 2B pencils, eraser, and pens.
  A 2-hour exam papers are consisting of:
   
  You are allowed to choose either English or Japanese exam paper
  (please specify in the application form, Japanese is on Level of JLPT 3-4)
60 minutes
  General knowledge on of Japan including Geography, History, Culture and Social
  (questions are in English)
40 minutes
  Attitude Test
20 minutes
     
  Please also prepare the following document to be passed to Programme Organiser on the Written Test day:
   
  - Copy of application’s identity card or birth certificate with certified true copy
  - Copy of latest school report card, accumulative grade report, with certified true copy
  - Personal photo albums illustrating the applicants and family. Extra activities or
    award certificates (if any)
  - Certification of at least 60-hour of Japanese language knowledge, or obtain the certified letter
    from Japanese teacher. In the case that applicants have never learnt Japanese applicant
    could submit certification before January 29, 2010
     
  Result of Written Test for top 50 successful candidates will be announced on
www.mjes.org
/ www.study-in-japan.com within 4th September 2009
  The top 50 successful candidates will go to the next Interview Test
     
2) Interview
  On the day of interview, candidates should wear their respective school uniforms.  Interview exam will take place at the office of Siam Connection Sdn Bhd.
  Candidates who failed to report themselves on that day and did not hand in the required document on time will consider have no right to sit in for interview and consider disqualified.
  The best 10 candidates will be finalized in this round of interview.  The result will announce on
15th Sep 2009. via website at www.mjes.org / www.study-in-japan.com
  10 successful candidates are advised to report themselves to Programme organiser and make a first batch of payment within 30th Sep 2009 at the office of Siam Connection.
  Successful candidates will have to attend the orientation with one of the guardian as per date advised by the Programme organiser.
     
3) Payment Contribute to MJES Programme
    MJES is programme that jointly cooperates and participates by the volunteer schools and families in Japan.  The expense will be used to contribute to the programme administrators who are helping to co-ordinate with the volunteer schools and Japanese families that are located in different cities around Japan. In doing so, Programme Organiser will help to recruit the right candidates to be granted such scholarship.  While YES International in Japan, the programme administrators will be the main coordinator and facilitator for successful candidates and the volunteer schools and families.  Therefore, the Programme will have to contribute a respectively amount as below to the Programme administrator in Japan:

Rm 28,000
  * Second Rank
Rm 30,000
  * Third Rank onwards
Rm 35,000
   
  The successful candidates will have to settle such contribution batch by batch as:
  * 30th Sep 2009   1st payment of Rm10,000
  * 30th Oct 2009   The remaining of the payment
     
4) Termination of Candidates During the Scholarship Period
    The programme may have to terminate the scholarship and send candidates back to their home country, should following incidents happen:
  Do not abide to the policy and regulation of the programme and YES International in Japan.
  Practice an unlawful doing which against the law of Japan.
  Unable and unwilling to adapt to the environment at home-stay as well as school.
  Create problems with the home-stay and school till they have rejected to accept such candidate to be part of their society such as irresponsible in their school work, bad manners, attitude problem, unwilling to accept other people’s opinion.
  Having health problem.
  Involve in any forms of wrong-doing which will lead to bad image of the programme as a consequences.
     
5) Orientation
    In order for first-time travelers to Japan, it is crucially important to understand basic culture of Japan.  Programme orgainiser will conduct an orientation for the 10 successful candidates and their parents are advised to come along.  The orientation with their parents on 30th Oct 2009, at MJES Malaysia, office of Siam Connection Sdn Bhd

Second round of orientation will be for group orientation. The main purpose is to create a good rapport among 10 successful candidates and should be the time they get to know each other before they are leaving to Japan.  Parents are not advised to join during this group orientation.  The period of group orientation would be 22-24 Nov 2009 and Programme Organiser will advise venue accordingly.

Final orientation will be in last week of January 2010.  Where all successful and their parents are advised to attend the orientation. Exact date will be advised accordingly.
     
6) Apply Japan VISA
    By February 2010
Programme Organiser will guide the successful candidates for the VISA application.
