Mainichi Academic Group is in collaboration with YES International of Japan, the organization which manage the student exchange programme for more than 40 years, to promote Mainichi Japanese Exchange Scholarship (MJES). MJES is the exchange programme for high school students to study in Japan. The main principal of exchanging is to enhance the knowledge of understanding in language and culture between Japan and the participating country. The programme aims to encourage youth to be able to assimilate themselves well and stay happily in a new culture and society. Also to encourage them to develop a good and positive attitude when they live in new society. They should also learn how to response to any problem positively. Selected candidates should meet the set criteria in which will be accessed and selected by the Project’s representative in each country. The selected candidates will have a chance to participate in the high school programme in Japan for a total period of 10 months (normally start from March – December of every year). They will also arranged to stay in the Japanese family which will be selected by YES International of Japan throughout the period of the scholarship.
